Essays in this collection are the result of the specific research project conducted by academicians as well as students. The objective of the project was the continual and systematic improvement of educational activities within the master´s degree programme European Cultural Studies and the bachelor´s degree programme International Relations - British and American Studies. The American Studies Reader focuses on various topics fron the field of education, literature, culture and many other related aspocts of American Studies and aims to make these topics accessible primarily tohe the first-year students of the aformentioned programmes.
